Lake Kariba Weekly Levels in Meters
The Kariba Lake is designed to operate between levels 475.50m and 488.50m (with 0.70m freeboard) for hydropower generation.
The Lake level has steadily been increasing with records of fluctuations being observed due to low outflow from the Reservoir, closing the period under review at 477.50m (13.88% usable storage) on 17th April 2024, compared to 478.85m (23.47% usable storage) recorded on the same date last year.
