Victoria Falls / Big Tree

Flows at Victoria Falls increased steadily during the week under review before closing at 1,098m3/s on 30th April 2019. Given that the upstream station of Ngonye peaked some five days ago, and with no more rainfall expected, no significant rise is expected at this Station as the peak is likely to be attained soon in the order of 1,100 m3/s. Last year on the same date, the flow was 4,053m3/s.

Flows at Ngonye peaked to 3,014m3/s on 2nd May 2025, before decreasing steadily, closing the period under review at 2,982m3/s as of 5th May 2025. The flow recorded last year on the same date was lower at 880m3/s.
