Victoria Falls / Big Tree

Flows at Victoria Falls increased steadily during the week under review before closing at 1,098m3/s on 30th April 2019. Given that the upstream station of Ngonye peaked some five days ago, and with no more rainfall expected, no significant rise is expected at this Station as the peak is likely to be attained soon in the order of 1,100 m3/s. Last year on the same date, the flow was 4,053m3/s.

The Zambezi River flows at Chavuma are rising steadily as the rainfall season progresses, closing the period under review at 872m3/s as of 2nd February 2026, whilst last year on the same date it was lower at 339m3/s.
