Victoria Falls / Big Tree

Flows at Victoria Falls increased steadily during the week under review before closing at 1,098m³/s on 30^th April 2019. Given that the upstream station of Ngonye peaked some five days ago, and with no more rainfall expected, no significant rise is expected at this Station as the peak is likely to be attained soon in the order of 1,100 m³/s. Last year on the same date, the flow was 4,053m³/s.

The Zambezi River flows at Victoria Falls – Nana’s Farm Station are increasing as rainfall season progresses, with fluctuations being observed in the flows, closing the period under review at 4,136m³/s as of 7^th April 2026. The flow observed on the same date last year was lower at 1,983m³/s.
